Process
A step-by-step overview of the Musaned recruitment journey - and where Vigilant Technologies fits in.
The Saudi employer logs into the Musaned portal and issues a domestic worker visa by selecting the desired occupation (from 45+ categories) and preferred nationality. Government fees of SAR 2,000 are paid through official banking channels. The visa is valid for two years from the date of issuance.
The employer selects a licensed recruitment agency in the source country. As a registered Musaned partner agency in Pakistan, Vigilant Technologies appears as an authorised option for Saudi employers seeking Pakistani domestic workers. The employer sends their recruitment preferences - including age range, experience level, language ability, and any specific requirements.
Upon receiving the employer's requirements, our team sources and screens suitable candidates from our database. We present up to five candidate profiles to the employer through the Musaned platform. Each profile includes the candidate's qualifications, experience, photograph, and our assessment notes. The employer reviews and selects their preferred candidate.
Once the employer confirms their selection, an electronic employment contract is generated through Musaned. This contract specifies salary, working hours, leave entitlements, accommodation, and all rights and obligations of both parties. The employer also enrols in Musaned's mandatory contract insurance programme, which provides financial protection in case the worker departs early or the contract is terminated unexpectedly.
Vigilant Technologies handles the candidate's complete documentation - passport verification, medical examination at approved centres, skills attestation, police clearance, and BEOE Protector of Emigrants clearance from Pakistan's side. We coordinate with the Saudi Embassy for visa stamping and ensure all regulatory requirements are met on both ends.
Before departure, every candidate receives a comprehensive orientation covering their job responsibilities, employer expectations, Saudi labour laws applicable to domestic workers, cultural guidance, salary payment processes, complaint mechanisms, and emergency contacts. Compliance Updates
Staying compliant with Saudi domestic labour regulations is critical. Here are the most significant recent changes.
Update 01
All employers in Saudi Arabia must transfer domestic workers' salaries through official channels - approved digital wallets and participating banks - starting January 1, 2026. This was rolled out in phases: employers with 5+ workers from July 2024, 4+ from January 2025, 3+ from July 2025, and 2+ from October 2025. Full coverage begins January 2026.
Update 02
345,000 employers enrolled in contract insurance in the first half of 2025 - up from 302,000 the previous year. This programme is now effectively mandatory for all new Musaned recruitment transactions.
Update 03
Domestic workers whose contracts have ended can now upload their CVs directly to Musaned, enabling Saudi employers to browse and hire workers already residing in the Kingdom through a streamlined digital transfer process.
Update 04
The average arrival time for domestic workers from source countries to Saudi Arabia dropped by 12.2% in 2025, bringing the average down to 44 days. Pakistan, Philippines, Uganda, Sri Lanka, and Kenya all saw measurable improvements.
Update 05
Saudi Arabia launched a grace period allowing domestic workers previously reported as absent/runaway to legalise their status and transfer to new employers through Musaned, without penalties.
